At the end of May, Rihanna launched her very first collection for Fenty, her new brand over at LVMH. (She also made history in the process, becoming the first black woman to head a house at the luxury conglomerate.) The pop star’s first offering bore all the hallmarks of her street style swagger: there were corseted denim mini dresses and skirts, shield-like sunglasses, and a sharp lineup of footwear focused on ultra-pointy, strappy sandals. So, when it came time for a supermodel to wear the new Fenty pieces just a few weeks after its debut, it just had to be the ever cool Bella Hadid.
Spotted in New York City hours before the CFDA Awards, Hadid wore a total look by Fenty but completely made it her own. She chose Rihanna’s white denim corset dress, pairing it with the designer’s lime green asymmetrical heels and two-toned shielded shades, pops of colour that proved crucial to the styling.
Only time will tell which of Rihanna’s wares Hadid will rock next. For now, consider her a dedicated follower of Fenty.
